Riccardo Vitolo has been working with De Berti Jacchia Franchini Forlani Law Firm since 2011. Previously, he worked with several international law firms in Italy as well as with a leading Indian law firm in the Mumbai office, where he had the opportunity to deepen his knowledge of Indian ADR system. Finally, he worked as in-house lawyer in the legal department of a well-known Italian company, a leader in the telecommunication market.
Riccardo has extensive experience in civil, corporate, commercial, banking, insurance, inheritance, real estate and condominium litigation. He also developed expertise in ADR procedures.
Riccardo also advises and provides legal assistance to high-net-worth-individuals (Ultra-HNWI and HNWI) in complex domestic and cross-border international succession as well as in wealth management and asset protection, including in the inter-generational transfer of family businesses and in the context of the valuation and transfer of artistic assets. He acquired expertise in the establishment, management and maintenance of internal trusts, associations and foundations.
Finally, Riccardo provides assistance and general advice on drafting and negotiating of commercial agreements, especially in the field of distribution – including ‘selective’ distribution -, agency, franchising and leasing.
In 2018, he attended a second level master’s degree in “Law and taxation in the art market” and is continuously improving his competences in all sides of Italian and international Art Law.
He is a member of the International Association of Young Lawyers (AIJA), in the International Private Client and Family law committee.

Complex technical IT issues are being dealt with in the instruction phase of the proceedings. Attachment proceedings have been started amongst others, on trademarks owned by the counterparty.

The dispute involves parallel court proceedings in Italy, Luxembourg and Taiwan and international commercial arbitration proceedings in Singapore under the Singapore International Arbitration Centre Rules. The subject matter of the dispute arises out of joint venture agreements entered into by the company and two other partners (a Singapore company and a Taiwanese company) and the control of the Italian subsidiary companies which own a number of photovoltaic plants.
