Cristina Fussi is since year 2000 a partner at De Berti Jacchia Franchini Forlani and was previously general counsel of a large US multinational group.

Cristina has been practising for more than twenty years in the area of corporate, M&A and international transactional work with special expertise in cross border distressed M&A deals including lease, sale and purchase of going concerns from distressed companies and insolvency/receivership procedures, debt restructuring and group reorganization.

She has been assisting for decades large multinational groups – among which several large Japanese groups – in their investment and day to day activities in Italy, including corporate and commercial matters, as well as in the implementation and setting up of Compliance Models.

Cristina is frequently involved in forensic investigation aimed at identifying actual or potential fraud and/or breach of contract, including in the context of M&A transactions.

Her experience spans a considerable number of industries including semiconductor, chemical advanced materials, food, trade and investment, construction, airline service providers, railway transportation and water treatment systems.

Cristina teaches distressed M&A at the Università Statale of Milan in the context of the master on M&A transactions.

She is co-chair of the Insolvency Section of the International Bar Association and regularly speaks at international conferences on insolvency and corporate matters.

She is vice-chair of ASLA, the Italian Association of Associated Law Firms.

Cristina is regularly mentioned on Legal500 in the Corporate and M&A practice.
