The Russian Federal Customs Service and the Russian PTO (Rospatent) concluded an agreement on exchange of information. The Federal Customs Service will get information on registered trademarks, designs, computer programs and databases, while the Russian PTO (Rospatent) will be informed on the IP rights listed in the customs register of IP rights and administrative actions against counterfeit goods that include IP rights. Goods that contain IP rights listed in the customs register are specifically checked by the Russian customs authorities to identify counterfeit.
