Milan, June 16, 2022 – The Mariotti Group, founded in 1968 and engaged in the processing and sale of flat-rolled stainless-steel products, has concluded a transaction for the purchase of its plasma cutting business with the Finnish Outokumpu Group, a leader in the production, processing and marketing of stainless steel products. With this operation, which involves two operators already linked by a long commercial collaboration, the Mariotti Group will be able to expand the line of products offered on the market.
The Mariotti Group was assisted in the transaction by Kon S.p.A. as financial advisor with a team comprising Fabrizio Bencini, Matteo Mancaruso, Leonardo de Vecchi and Simone Morsiani. BLF Studio Legale with lawyers Giulio Pinetti and Andrea Corbelli advised Mariotti Group for the legal profiles of the transaction. Dr.Alessandro Germani and Dr. Annamaria Paolillo of GDC Corporate & Tax handled the tax profiles and Dr. Raffaello Castagna the labour law ones.
The Outokumpu Group was assisted by De Berti Jacchia law firm with a team comprising Partners Marco Frazzica and Gaspare Roma, Senior Associate Giuseppina Zoccali and Associate Matteo Bilei.
